The history of Belfine

1995

June 30th: foundation of ChocDecor, first company on the world market of hollow figures with own tools and plastic moulds.
ChocDecor was started as a result of true passion for chocolate.  In order to be different on the market, ChocDecor created its own exclusive moulds and is using only the finest ingredients, 2 things that are the basis of success for the company!

1996

At the start, the hollow figures were sold to pastry & specialist shops in the region.  But shortly thereafter, foreign countries were very interested!  In 1996, our first Dutch partner was a fact.

1997

The development of the enterprise grew steadily and in 1997 ChocDecor founded an export company for international clients.  The name of this company was also the brand name of the ChocDecor-chocolate, namely “Belfine”.

1999

Thanks to the export company Belfine, export to Germany, the United Kingdom, France... was started.

2001

Construction of the new production hall + installation of the first automated decoration line.

2002

First production of lollipops.

2004

The American market was convinced of our quality and sales on the European market grew steadily.  Already 3.000 Belgian chocolate stores sold our chocolate lollipops.  Later that year export to Japan and Australia was started.

2005

ChocDecor represents innovation and uniqueness, and during this year production of decorated chocolate bars (known as Choc’tales) commenced.

2006

Construction of new warehouse equipped with WMS (Warehouse Management System).  Start of production of decorated filled chocolate cubes (Bel’icious Moments).

2007

New production line due to the fierce expansion of the company.  Export worldwide to 40 countries.

2010

15th anniversary and we are building a new and bigger warehouse, and a provision for a 3rd production line.
